Friends gathered together for a rare glass of wine after an emotionally draining day in New York’s Family Court system, sharing sad stories of the week and from decades of working with children.
So much of it seemed preventable. The same common themes appeared over and over again.
If only parents knew. Well wait a minute, maybe they can. Right then and there, the inspiration for YourChildSafe was born.
Almost magically, sorrow turned to hope, and then joy.

We don’t pretend to have all the answers. But we’ve seen a lot over the years and the worst that can happen to children.
